When I started the update, it loaded for a while, and then it said my OS is not fit for Remote Play (I have Windows 8.1). Bill. This is from the PlayStation blog: 'At the same time as 8.00, the existing PS4 Remote Play app on mobile (iOS/Android), Windows PC and Mac, will change its name to PS Remote Play, and the option to connect to PS5 will be added. This was annoying until I figured out this fix.
You’ve got an error message saying “A connection to the server could not be established.” with a random error code similar to “18.a6086a7c.4357339”. This makes all PS4 players unable to sign in to Playstation Store for both platforms. However, those who already sign-in from their system or website, has no problem. I can jump into my innitial server just fine, play throught a multitude of games,. Constantly server connection timing out ps4. 'connection to the server.
We just got a new Wi-Fi thingy and I connected it to my PS4. The Wi-Fi works perfectly on ours phones but with my PS4 it keeps on saying 'Connection to server timed out' or 'Connection lost' for about every 5 minutes that pass or even less than 5 minutes.
1. Check the settings again, just to make sure you got everything right (use the easy method, or the manual ones if you want to change some things like DNS etc).
2. If you're sure that your settings is right, place the wi-fi near your console, and without any obstructions like walls or other electronic stuffs.
3. Still not be able to connect? Then call your ISP, and ask if there's a problem on their end.
Another possibility is that your ISP has blocked PSN, hence you couldn't connect to it. Ask them for a resolve (you prolly need to pay extra for this), or change to another ISP if they can't provide a solution.
Game consoles have lousy Wi-Fi antennas and if they can't get a strong signal from your router, then it's connection to the internet isn't going to work right either - if at all.
First, go into the Settings menu -> Network, and click on Test Network. See if the PS4 is connecting to the router properly or not. If you're getting errors, it's probably unable to get a good signal.
You can download a free Wi-Fi meter for your phone. This lets you see the signal strength as you walk around the house. If the signal strength isn't very good where the PS4 is located, and the router is too far to connect with an ethernet cable, you might want to consider a Wi-Fi booster or repeater. You can find these at any computer store and can help extend Wi-Fi coverage throughout your house.
- Why does my girlfriend hates it when I play video games on my PS4? She said that I should call and text her instead of playing video games… She gets angry when I do. I don't even play video games everyday. And when I play it, it only takes 1 to 2 hrs.
- Why won't my ps4 connect to college Wi-Fi without asking for a proxy server? I've just moved into a dorm and i tried to set my playstation's Wi-Fi connection up but it won't work without asking about a proxy server. I managed to get a hotspot on my laptop because the Wi-Fi will properly work on my phone and laptop, just not my ps4. All i can do even with the hotspot though is just watch stuff on youtube, netflix, hulu, etc. I want to be able to game too though. Does anyone have any idea on how to get this to work?
- Why does my PS4 say that I do not have enough free space when I actually do? Can't update my game- I already deleted several games and applications. It says I have 42.79 gb of space left.
- My friend is gay and is bullied. What should I say to help him? Insensitive players on the PS4 have commented negative remarks on my friend. Please keep in mind this is a serious issue and I would like to support him the best way possible.
