The Citrix Workspace app allows for secure, unified access to all of your SaaS apps, web apps, virtual apps, files, and desktops. If your company uses Citrix, simply login with your company credentials to access all of the resources you need to be productive from anywhere. For individuals who participate in telework programs or need access to the NSF network while traveling, remote access provides the ability to access the NSF network. When working away from the NSF building, you may need to access NSF applications, systems, and internal resources such as InsideNSF. The Citrix Workspace App incorporates the full capabilities of Citrix Receiver. In Q3 2018, Citrix Receiver was replaced by the Citrix Workspace App. Can I continue to use Citrix Receiver to launch Netcare Portal, or is an upgrade to the Citrix Workspace App required?
We recommend using the desktop application Citrix Workspace to access engineering software remotely.

Citrix Workspace
- Download and Install the Citrix Workspace that is compatible with you Operating System (Mac or Windows)
- When Prompted to ‘Add Account’, add https://engbucitrix.cloud.com/(PLEASE NOTE, From off campus, you will need to be connected to the BU VPN)
- Enter your BU credentials as: adusername and your Kerberos password
- Go to Apps then All Apps to view all available engineering software.
Web App
Gmod voice console commands. If the Citrix Workspace install fails, user can launch Citrix Applications via the web. This method is known to be slower than the Workspace tool.
- In any web browser, browse to https://engbucitrix.cloud.com/
- If Citrix Workspace is not detected following the steps below. If Citrix Workspace is detected, skip to step 3.
- Select: Switch to user name and password (Listed Below LOG ON)
3. Log on using your BU Username and Password
4. Select which application to launch. This will launch in Citrix Receiver.

- Open Citrix Workspace and click on your name in the top right of the screen. Select Accounts from the drop down menu
- Select the old Server/Account and click Remove
- Click Add to add a new server
- Follow the instructions from Step 2 of Citrix Workspace to add the correct server
